Letter of Secretary GeneralDear delegates, the time has come and after months of preparation for all of us the absolutely first Prague Model United Nations at Gymnázium Jana Nerudy is beginning. This conference is a unique happening which I believe has a significant meaning in international relations, not only is it a model of the most active world organization but it also brings together students from different countries and builds bridges between nations. When we first got the idea of organizing a similar event it was only a thought brought out of excitement. However, over the time it grew into a slightly more apparent picture. But still, the final creation of a complete image of Prague Model United Nations now lies only on your shoulders, since your interest in global issues, my colleagues, made this conference happen. Every painting has a frame, which we the organizers have put together and it is now on you, honourable delegates, to use the colours of your knowledge and debating skills to give it your own personal signature. It's time for all of us to run for the last time through our speeches, for the last time check our notes and adjust our attire. Dear delegates, I wish you successful negotiations and fruitful discussions. It is my pleasure to welcome you to the first international Prague Model United Nations. Yvette Sanderova |
